Wests Group Macarthur Launches “Wests for the Future” Sustainability Grants Program

Posted at 03 Mar 2026

Wests Group Macarthur has proudly launched the Wests for the Future Sustainability Grants Program, a new $20,000 funding initiative designed to support small-scale, impactful environmental and sustainability projects across the Macarthur region.

The program is open exclusively to organisations located within the Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly Local Government Areas, with applications welcomed from schools, P&C Associations, early learning centres, community and not-for-profit organisations, and local sporting clubs. Applications are now open and close 1 May 2026.

The new grants program builds on Wests Group Macarthur’s broader sustainability goals and complements the Group’s long-standing ClubGRANTS program, while providing a more agile way to respond specifically to local sustainability needs. Funded projects may include initiatives that reduce energy or water use, improve waste management, introduce renewable energy solutions, or support hands-on environmental education and community participation.

According to Daniel Perkiss, the launch of the Wests for the Future Grants Program reflects the Group’s commitment to supporting a healthy and sustainable future for the region.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to Macarthur, Wests Group Macarthur are thrilled to launch the Wests for the Future Grants Program, offering schools, sporting clubs and community organisations financial support to deliver their environmental and sustainability-focused projects,” Mr Perkiss said.
“With $20,000 available, we look forward to receiving applications and sharing the great stories around small but impactful environmental initiatives taking place across our community.”

The launch of the program comes alongside a range of sustainability initiatives already underway across Wests Group Macarthur venues. These include the installation of 100kW solar PV systems at both Lakeside Golf Club and The Sherwood, with further solar installations in progress to support night-time equipment charging and the exploration of renewable energy opportunities within venue carparks.

In the past year alone, Wests Group Macarthur has achieved measurable environmental outcomes, including the planting of 180 trees, recycling 41 tonnes of cardboard, and improving energy and water efficiency across all venues demonstrating tangible progress against sustainability targets. In 2025, Wests Group Macarthur also delivered an exciting biodiversity project, establishing a new home for the Macarthur Beekeepers Association at Lakeside Golf Club Camden.

Applications for the Wests for the Future Sustainability Grants Program are now open and close on 1 May 2026.
